I'm going to Japan!!!!!!!!!

Dates and a very vague itinerary:

8 June - Fly to San Francisco for pre-departure orientation

11 June - Fly to Tokyo to begin program

24 July - Return From Tokyo

Three more weeks! I've wanted to study abroad for as long as I can remember and now it's finally happening! I'll be staying with a Japanese host family and going to a Japanese high school. I have no idea who my host family is yet, but apparently that's perfectly normal. Sometimes students don't find out until a matter of hours before they leave. Yikes!

Why Japan? I fell in love with the Japanese language when I signed up for the class by accident my Freshman year. Best mistake I ever made. Our teacher took us to Japan for a week at the end of my Sophomore year and I've been dying to go back ever since.

I'll be blogging my entire stay (assuming of course that my host family doesn't live in some remote village up in the mountains without internet access and miles away from any form of civilization) and will post back soon with any updates!
